Our Approach

Patient-centred

City Sports and Spinal is a practice where your success comes first.
We believe the best results come from personalised care shaped around individual needs, lifestyle and goals.
So, we don’t work on people: we work with them.

We approach your concern with perceptive and genuine curiosity to uncover why you’re having trouble doing what you want to do. That's how we map the best course to recovery or success.

COMPREHENSIVE CARE

We are passionate and innovative and partner with you to deliver effective and high quality care, that means committing to continual learning and professional development. We constantly strive to improve our knowledge and skills and share them across clinical disciplines, so you know you are getting the best, most comprehensive care possible.

Our Story

City Sports and Spinal was first opened over 30 years ago, bringing to Toowoomba physiotherapists with recognised post-graduate training in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and soon established its reputation as Toowoomba’s trusted physio clinic. Experienced physiotherapist, Wim de Jong, joined the practice in 2001, and Scott Charles in 2012, seeking to provide advanced care in a way that better connected with and empowered patients.

City Sports & Spinal has continued to operate with the guiding principle of patient-centred care, aiming to deliver sensitive,
intelligent and meaningful solutions which help clients to improve
their quality of life.

In 2022, City Sports and Spinal merged with its partnering podiatry clinic Lisa de Jong Podiatry for Foot Health and expanded its services to develop an increasing range of specialised clinics.

Today, City Sports and Spinal is a multi-service clinic delivering comprehensive physiotherapy, podiatry, injury and pain management services to patients of all ages.
